Last Updated: October 20, 2026
Introduction
At Frostline Solutions LLC ("Frostline," "we," "our," or "us"), we build and maintain products designed for reliability, transparency, and control. This Usage Policy sets the standard for how our systems and services should be used — with security, safety, and performance in mind. By engaging with any Frostline product or service, you agree to uphold the spirit and terms of this policy.
Our No Compromise Commitment
Frostline follows a strict no-compromise policy when it comes to system integrity, user privacy, and service quality. Any usage that undermines safety, violates trust, or exploits our systems is strictly prohibited and will result in service denial, voided warranties, and, if needed, legal action.
Intended Use
- Use each product strictly for its intended function and environment.
- Follow provided manuals and recommendations carefully.
- Keep devices in acceptable temperature and humidity ranges.
- Only use compatible, approved parts and accessories.
- Maintain regular care to preserve longevity and safety.
Prohibited Activities
- Disabling, bypassing, or tampering with built-in security or privacy features.
- Installing invasive third-party software or firmware not explicitly approved.
- Using Frostline devices for surveillance, exploitation, or criminal activity.
- Reselling, redistributing, or rebranding systems without authorization.
- Overclocking or modifying hardware beyond safe operating specs unless pre-approved.
- Reverse engineering any proprietary components or closed-source tools.
Development Work Policy
- A $10 deposit is required before any technical work begins — this is non-refundable under any condition.
- Time is tracked precisely and billed at $25/hour.
- You’ll receive a transparent breakdown of work before final delivery.
- Final payment is required in full before any code, product, or result is transferred.
Diagnostics and Service Charges
- A $50 deposit is required for device diagnosis.
- If your device is quickly fixed without a formal service, the deposit is refundable.
- Upon service approval, the diagnostic fee becomes a labor credit.
- Standard rate: $25/hour. Flat rates may apply if the task exceeds estimated time due to complexity.
Software and Digital Assets
- Licenses are non-transferable and subject to end-user license agreements (EULA).
- You must not alter, copy, or redistribute proprietary software.
- Updates may be required for functionality or compliance with security standards.
- We never include telemetry, bloatware, or adware — and we expect users to avoid reintroducing it.
Custom-Built Systems
- Systems are built to your spec and use-case. Repurposing may reduce performance or cause issues.
- Hardware upgrades should only be done by qualified technicians.
- Custom software or firmware should not be removed or bypassed.
- System care and OS hygiene are part of the user’s responsibility after hand-off.
Warranty & Service Voids
Warranty is voided in the following cases:
- Evidence of physical abuse, liquid damage, or electrical mismanagement.
- Unauthorized modifications or firmware alterations.
- Use of unapproved third-party power adapters, GPUs, or boards.
- Operating outside safe environmental or electrical specs.
- Defeating local-first or secured hardware configurations.
Safety Requirements
- Do not expose devices to water, excessive dust, or extreme heat.
- Ensure good ventilation and do not block airflow or fans.
- Use only grounded, surge-protected outlets.
- Unplug during lightning storms or extended periods of disuse.
Sustainable Practices
- Reuse, repair, and recycle whenever possible.
- Return packaging for reuse if you’re local.
- Ask about device buyback or donation options.
- We support repair culture over unnecessary upgrade cycles.
Community and Ethical Use
As part of our community-first mission, Frostline products must never be used in ways that:
- Exploit, surveil, or harass others.
- Spread disinformation, spam, or malicious content.
- Enable illegal activities, child exploitation, or hate speech.
- Violate civil rights or privacy in any form.
Policy Changes
This policy is reviewed regularly. Updates will be posted here with a new date. Continued use of our products means you agree to the current terms.
